Stampendous Fun Flock is exactly that - FUN in a bottle! Stampendous markets
it as a fluffy embellishment that helps to add soft and fuzzy texture to any project. Flock is made from dyed rayon and
you can add glitter, or mix colors, for a mix all your own.
My first experience with the fuzzy stuff was making a graduation card. I used the Chick Family stamp set along with
the Friends accessories set. I love these little guys and wanted to make my Grad Chick especially special, so I opened a
jar of Sunshiny Yellow Fun Flock. Just opening it was cool - inside I found the softest, fluffiest "stuff"!
After stamping the image on cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I colored the wings, beak and legs with Tombow
Dual Brush markers. Then I used a Super Brush Swab-It to spread Mono Multi Glue over the chick body area. Trying to keep
the fluff mess factor to a minimum, I pulled out a clean paper coffee filter (flat bottomed) and placed in the chick
face-up, awaiting it's fluff. I tapped the bottle of flock over the glue area, then tapped off excess into the filter
so I could replace in the bottle for later use. Then I very gently pressed the flock into the glue and let it dry.
Chick was now fuzzy and so adorable! To make Chick really stand out, I added a second layer of glue and flock. How CUTE!
And I have to say here that Chick was so irresistable, I had to try a fuzzy Changito. For this I used Carmel Latte Tan,
and he came out precious! Now, I can barely wait to try the Hazy Grey on Fluffles!
Stamp-By-Step currently stocks 6 colors of Fun Flock sold in .25 oz plastic vial jars. |
