Lately I have it difficult to complete a project without adding flowers somewhere to it. I am not sure why,
as I am NOT the frilly girlie type; I am more the get out of bed, brush my hair, put on some comfy clothes and
head downstairs for breakfast type. Anyway, since I can't seem to get enough, I decided to review some of my favorite flowers: Box O'Blooms
and Bag O'Blooms, from Blue Hills Studio.
These handmade, hand-dyed mulberry paper flowers are perfect
for all your paper craft projects! A Box O'Blooms is a fun
deli-style tray stuffed with 50 blooms in a variety of shapes
and solid colors. Each vividly colored flower is at least 2" in
diameter. I will warn you right here that because they are all
so big, you are limited in how you can layer them, but you can
always mix them with other brands of flowers or punch your own.
If you are a layering-type, the Bag O'Blooms may be more what
you need. Each white organza bag (makes a quaint little gift bag
when the flowers are gone) is stuffed full of 25 various sizes
of a single color mixed with white. You can pick a color, or go
for Potpourri, and layer your heart out! Or mix and match colors
and sizes for interesting new blooms.
I found that you can add a little sparkle with some Stickles
Glitter Glue. And a Dew Drop, brad, button, or eyelet makes a
perfect little center!
Stamp-By-Step currently stocks Box O'Blooms, Box O'Poinsettias
(a must have for Christmas projects!), and 9 varieties of Bag O'Blooms. |
