When using the Stamp-By-Step
Color Matching Chart, be aware that DoubleMates/ColorMates cardstock monochromatic color families
are each made up of coordinating tints and shades. Because of this,
not all items listed for color family exactly match all shades available. |
| When applying embossing powder or glitter, use paper coffee filters (basket type) to catch "run-off".
They are cheap and remove worry about mixed/impure colors. Remember to recycle! |
When tying a knot or bow, use reverse-action tweezers to hold ribbon/cord tight after first cross-over. |
Stamping with VersaMark
creates a watermark-type effect. It is great for subtle background images
and can be used for embossing. |
| When setting an eyelet, place a piece of chipboard (back of old note paper pad or shoe box
lid) under face of eyelet to help prevent damaging the rounded top of the eyelet. |
Always score cardstock before folding to prevent puckers. Use bone scorer to smooth fold. |
To help prevent unraveling/frayed ends, clip ribbon end on a diagonal. It looks nicer, too! |
